The pines grace the rugged rocky islands among which beautiful navigable waterways are found – but be careful of shoals. Watch while the Georgian Bay cormorants fish. The old cottages and inns are scattered among more modern island houses. We stay at a cottage of a rowing friend – swimming and sunning make this a cottage getaway.

Itinerary

Saturday - After rigging the boats we row 12 km, in a scenic world of islands to Cathy’s cottage. Cathy kindly offered to pick up our luggage with her coach boat, but keep the luggage low key.

The cottage is fully equipped, with frigs and fireplaces,
Accommodation is in cabins, but we need sleeping bags and our own food and drinks. We think of Chili con carne, so bring that along for a nice stir.  Lots of fun, sandy beach…

Sunday morning we row around the islands and slowly back to the Government dock. At 2 pm we should have derigged and loaded the boats ready for the trip home.
