Itinerary
First day of rowing will be on Long Lake, located within in the boundaries of the Greater City of Sudbury. We will be meeting at the boat launch site after breakfast Saturday morning (about 9am), rigging the boats and rowing until 3pm, derigging in preparation for 2nd day travel. Lunch will be close to noon and we will take several small breaks during the day.
Second day (weather and water levels permitting), rowing will be in Collins Inlet, launching at Chikanishing Access Point in Killarney Provincial Park. (45 minutes south and west of Sudbury) We will meet at the park office at 8am. A light breakfast will be provided before we begin rigging the boats for the morning activities. Hopefully we will be on the water by 8:45am, rowing east for 1-1/2 hours. At that point we will begin our return journey to the boat launch. Again, there will be breaks as required. Boats will be derigged and setup on trailers upon arrival at boat launch.
**if weather does not permit, an alternate rowing course will be chosen.
