Upper Ottawa Tour
Saturday July 30th to August 1st 2011

Description

Circumnavigation of Allumette Island - Row on the magnificent Upper Ottawa River where its deep, pristine waters lap at the Laurentian Mountains. This tour is moving down into the Valley – Pembroke is a fiddling capital and has a history as a lumber town.

Tentative Itinerary

 

  • Saturday, July 30: This will be a full day of magnificent sculling from Chapleau to Petawawa and then on to Pembroke.
  • Sunday, July 31: Starting from Allumette Island, we row across the Ottawa River to Westmeath for lunch.
Options for Monday: visit the Champlain Museum and see a pointer boat.
