A 2-day tour will be offered on October 2-3.  There is room for 20 rowers and a commitment to rowing both days is required.

Bracebridge will be our base as we explore the Muskoka lakes.  It should be a golden autumn row through the changing leaves of Muskoka.

Degree of difficulty:  Intermediate, open water with some boat traffic.  Coxing duties are shared between all participants.

Row:  We will row the scenic but sheltered Muskoka River, passing Santa’s Village.  You may indulge in any urges to wear Santa themed attire.  Lunch will be at Bowyer’s Beach just in a kilometer along the shore of Lake Muskoka.  We will take the same route back to Bracebridge in the afternoon.  Total distance is 20 km.

On Sunday, we row north out of Port Carling.  We will navigate around the picturesque islands of East Portage Bay and land at Windermere (to be confirmed).  We will be stopping here for lunch and a quick stroll through the village.  Our return row will take us straight across the lake to Port Carling.  Total distance is 17 km.

Note:  Toilets are available at the lunch sites and a lunch will be provided each day.

As the tour currently stands, the boats will be rigged/de-rigged each day – make time in your schedule for this!

Accommodation: I have booked a block of rooms at the Travel Lodge by Wyndham in Bracebridge, 320 Taylor Road.  Continental breakfast and free parking.   Once you and your room-mate(s) register and pay for the tour (most rooms have 2 double beds), I will ask you to e-transfer me the tour fee and your portion of the room rental.

It is expected that every person registering for this tour be able to verify that they have been double vaccinated.
